That’s why when you do exercise it’s important to make sure you get the most from a workout and have a great session.

There will always be workouts where you feel you might not have pushed as hard as you could, and that’s ok. Doing any kind of exercise is better than doing nothing.

That being said, there are a few things you can do to make sure you always set yourself up to get the most out of your workouts. If you don’t already have a goal that you’re working towards make sure you set yourself one ASAP.

1. Get a good night sleep

Sleep is vital to getting the most out of your time spent working out. And that goes for every night of the week. Poor sleep doesn’t just make you feel tired, it also limits your body’s ability to come back stronger after every workout. Without enough sleep, symptoms of over-training, including fitness plateaus, set in. Aim for seven to nine hours of sleep every single night.

2. Play your favorite music

Listening to your favorite music is a great way of firing you up for a work out. Pick songs that make you feel incredible and motivate you to work hard. Music has been proven to release endorphins and help you get those last few reps in without giving up.

                                    <a href=""class="btn btn--ghost">

3. Stay hydrated

One of the easiest things to forget is actually one of the most important. If you’re not properly hydrated you’re likely to find it more difficult to put 100% effort into your workout. Try carrying a bottle of water with you on your workout days so that you can keep sipping throughout the day. It’s just as important to make sure you rehydrate properly after a workout too, doing so will help aid your recovery.

4. Never skip your weakest exercise

I know it can be easy to prioritise the movements you’re good at but make sure you focus on the ones you’re weaker at too. Everybody has exercises they’re better at than others but by focusing on the exercises that need more of your attention you’ll reduce those imbalances.

Next time you are exercising try these tips and make the most of your workout!

If you have any questions please email me.
